Getting there… getting bored…?

Another day of searching and working. I feel I am starting to find her beautiful face, but I also feel something is missing. I think it is a bit boring. Good thing the cat is in there, but something else is maybe needed. But what? I guess I will be looking at the work and thinking for hours. A good part of the work is spent chewing and ruminating, waiting while the paint dries, going away, letting your eyes rest. All of a sudden you see it with fresh eyes, or you wake up in the morning with an idea. The time it takes to make a painting is hard to define. Doing the actual paint work is only a portion.

Layers and corrections

A long day, hours flying by, searching, painting, building up. Almost time to tear apart and re-build…

A new commission

I have a feeling this is going to take time and be difficult. But that is maybe part of the “fun”.

In Sweden it is a wet and cold summer so far…
