A great Easter weekend with about 2000 visitors in our house/studio. Incredibly friendly and excited people, amazing feedback and quite a few pieces sold. Most importantly my painting at Landskrona Konsthall was sold. The name of the painting is Imagine, size 100 x 120 cm. The money paid by the buyer will be passed on to our volunteers who are aiding the refugees in Brunnby with material for their Swedish lessons, bus tickets, etc.
In spite of miserable weather we had over 500 visitors the first day of the studio tour. Last year we had 900 people, but I also had insane publicity at that time, and the weather was great! Lots of positive people, great feedback and a few pieces sold.
The painting to the right is titled It’s a Wonderful World, 89 x 161 cm. Well, the sun is shining and we are still alive.
On Friday March 25 146 artists are opening their studios/homes to the public for the annual studio tour Konstrundan. Last year I had about 3000 visitors during the Easter holidays! Talk about an invasion. And they were all in our bedroom, ha ha. I am pretty much ready for this year’s event. Welcome if you are in the south of Sweden.
My new art catalogue, Facing Plywood No. 3, is ready and available.
I have not updated the blog for some time, but that does not mean I have been lazy. My green card application (permanent resident of USA) was approved and we then decided to go ahead and build a guest house/studio in Santa Fe. Then we returned to Sweden to prepare for the studio tour (Konstrundan i Nordvästra Skåne) and that has kept me pretty busy. More about that in the next few blog posts. Since arriving in Sweden we have experienced GRAY. Fog, clouds, frost. Very few moments of sunshine. Tonight the sky was mostly clear, amazing colors.
